Joining in the fun

A lot of conversations around Hogwarts lately have been centered around some of Hogwarts' well-known staff and alumni. There is a legilimens here who has been sharing with us all who we are most similar to... here's my result:

Whoops! and Woohoo!

First, the whoops: In all the excitement of Quidditch and Snitch-seeking, I missed one of my own dear housemates' birthdays! Celestina Cadogan, happy birthday to you!

And now the woohoo: Ravenclaw managed to move out of last place! What a wonderful sight to see upon walking into the Great Hall. Even though we didn't find the Snitch, and even though we sadly didn't have 100% participation this go-round, we ended up in 2nd place! While I'm looking forward to another chance for Ravenclaw to move up the ranks, I'm also very much looking forward to the next two weeks until the next Quidditch match, hoping our dear Hogwarts can get back to "normal" for a little while.

Snitch found

The snitch was found on this yummy-looking page by Cassandra Grubbly-Plank of Gryffindor. Congratulations, Cassandra! What a clever, tricky, and tasty place to hide the Snitch! I wonder if Cassandra got to take a bite of one of those delicious cakes on her way out!

Quidditch Addendum

I just took a look at my blog and noticed that I can't see the picture of Cedric, even though I promise I put it there. Just in case it's not just my computer, I feel like I ought to post a picture of him here, just to be on the safe side.

Passing time

I just can't wait for the release of the Golden Snitch! I have decided to pass some of the time until then watching an old Muggle movie, Gone With the Wind and doing some knitting. When I told Viktor Scamander of my plans he thought I must be very bored to want to watch this particular movie, but I disagree. I do enjoy old Muggle movies from time to time, and that Miss Scarlett is a real spitfire! I might also spend some time working on some little goodies for my swap package. One of those 3 owls I mentioned yesterday had some supplies for a little treat I have planned for my partner, who happens to be a Gryffindor...I just realized I may not have mentioned that before.

More Owls!

There has been a flurry of owls around here lately! Yesterday my grandmother's old owl arrived with a little note and some spending sickles. I also got a late birthday greeting from a Muggle friend. Of course it's late, she had to first send it to my parents' house and then they had to owl it to me. Muggles don't have their own owls for sending letters and parcels. Three mysterious owls also came with notes saying that they'll each be back with a parcel of some sort. I wonder what is in them. One could be a little gift I sent away for for Viktor Scamander, but I'm not sure about the other two. Can't wait until those owls return so I can find out!

Excitement in Ravenclaw Tower

Not only are we all (all houses!) revved up for Quidditch, but Ravenclaw has had even more celebrating to do as our housemate, Allitrya Spelling, celebrated her birthday. That's 3 Ravenclaw birthdays in one month! How exciting to have your birthday during Quidditch...though I suppose it could end up lost in the shuffle like sharing your birthday with a holiday could. So, if you haven't already, stop by and wish Allitrya a happy little-bit-belated birthday!
