Frustrated with my new magic!

Marty my beautiful owl arrived with new yarn & needles for me today and I was thrilled. I got started right away on winding the yarn into center-pull balls (couldn't find anything about that in any of my text books), chose a pattern & got to work on the "Magic" Loop. This may be one area in which Muggles are more capable of magic than I am. I tried a couple different charms, but I still had to do and undo my cast-on about 100 times (or at least it felt like 100). I think I've finally figured it out, but I'm in desperate need of a break. No more Muggle magic for me tonight!
